The Valley Cinema event series, initiated by Mark Tykwer, made a triumphant comeback in 2026, drawing a record-breaking crowd of 3,500 visitors. The event, held from mid-July to late August, was not situated at a specified location, but took place at the courtyard of the Old Fire Station.

Despite the occasional cloud cover, the audience still attended the event in droves, eager to witness the popular Argentine-British comedy "The Penguin of My Life." The film, which was a hit in the last season at Valley Cinema, was a major attraction for many.

Due to high demand, an additional performance of "The Penguin of My Life" was added to the schedule, and it too was sold out. This marked the best overall result since 2019 for the event series.

However, it's worth noting that the Valley Cinema event series did not take place in 2025, and it took a break between late August 2025 and July 2026. During this hiatus, the crew involved in the Valley Cinema took a much-needed break to catch up on sleep.

Looking ahead, the location for the next Valley Cinema has not been specified, though the event is scheduled for July 17, 2026. As of now, no additional performances or attractions have been announced for the 2026 event. Once the current event concludes, the location will be cleared.

Despite the success of the 2026 event, the director of "The Penguin of My Life" remains unidentified in the available search results. Nonetheless, the Valley Cinema event series continues to captivate audiences with its unique blend of films and atmosphere.
