A delightful three-day festival featuring music, socializing, and a summer vibe is set to kick off during the initial weekend of September.

The city of Wittingen is gearing up for its annual summer festival, running from September 5th to 7th. This three-day event promises a colourful program filled with live music, club activities, children's entertainment, culinary delights, and community spirit.

The festivities begin on Friday evening at 5 pm with the official opening by Hartmut Zschumme, the HGV chairman, accompanied by the Fulauer brass band. Following the official opening, guests can enjoy free beer sponsored by the Wittingen brewery. From 8 pm, the Hit Radio Show takes over the stage, offering four hours of energetic entertainment, show acts, and live performances.

On Friday night, a headphone party starts at midnight, offering three music channels, three styles, and an unforgettable experience.

Saturday sees the Jumping Mice from MTV Wittingen take the stage at 2:30 pm, followed by The Crazy Beats from Gifhorn with their danceable rock 'n' roll at 3:30 pm. In the afternoon, the voluntary fire brigade Wittingen celebrates its 160th anniversary from 2 pm to 4 pm. The VCP Wittingen (Scouts) also presents its new children's group on Saturday, accompanied by small interactive activities.

At 6:30 pm on Saturday, the Braunschweig punk rock band Hot Filter will perform, and at 10 pm, Europe's first Taylor Swift tribute show, The Taylor Experience, will take the stage.

On Sunday, Hermans Dixie Express performs at 12:30 pm, and Damage Report offers pop-punk and their original songs at 8 pm. In between, a pirate interactive show for children is scheduled for 3 pm, and the Jaeger Corps Knesebeck marching band gives a concert at 4 pm.

The festival grounds will be bustling with activities, including an autoscooter, chain flyer, children's carousel, and amusement booths. New specialties from Langosch to Diana's coffee, cheese and sausage specialties, and HANGmates with burgers and Dutch specialties will be available for food lovers.
