Tea celebration set to take place in Yakutsk, Yakutia's initial tea festival
The First Yakutian Tea Festival is set to take place tomorrow, May 24, at the "Muus Khaiya" restaurant complex in Yakutsk. This exciting event promises to be a celebration of Yakutian culture, with a variety of activities and experiences for all.
The festival will feature a market organized by the "Made in Yakutia" Association, showcasing products from local producers. Visitors will have the opportunity to taste jams made from wild plants by "Tirekh" SPK, berry paste from "Likhanova Farm", and jams made from wild plants by Isabella Pavlovna.
In addition to the market, the festival will also offer a series of workshops and demonstrations. Chef Igor Glukharev will prepare marinated lamb with Yakutian spices "TUMA" and a Yakutian dessert, providing a tantalising taste of traditional Yakutian cuisine.
Marissa Kononova, founder of "Ebeem Maaiya from cheider", will host a cleansing, invigorating Yakutian tea ceremony and an "algyes". This unique experience promises to be a highlight of the festival, offering visitors a chance to immerse themselves in Yakutian traditions.
Konstantin Krivoshapkin, a candidate of biological sciences, will give a lecture on the benefits of herbs from a scientific perspective. This informative talk is sure to be a fascinating addition to the festival, providing insights into the medicinal properties of Yakutian herbs.
