Tech giant Acer reveals high-performance gaming laptops and sleek Copilot+ PC at IFA 2025 event

Acer has recently announced an impressive lineup of new devices, catering to the needs of gamers, professionals, and everyday users. Here's a rundown of the latest offerings:

Acer Nitro V 16

The Acer Nitro V 16 is set to make its debut in October in North America, with a starting price of $999.99. This laptop comes equipped with a 2560 x 1600 display boasting a 180Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth visuals for gaming and multitasking. Notably, it supports NVIDIA DLSS 4 and is paired with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 laptop GPU.

The Nitro V 16 also covers 100% sRGB, providing accurate and vibrant colours. It will start shipping in North America in November, with availability expanding to Europe, the Middle East, and Africa in November as well.

Acer Swift Air 16

The Acer Swift Air 16, on the other hand, is powered by an AMD Ryzen AI 300 Series processor. Weighing just 0.99 kg (2.18 lbs) with an IPS display, this lightweight laptop promises up to 13 hours of battery life, making it an ideal companion for those on the go.

The Swift Air 16 comes with up to an AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring crisp visuals. It also features Windows Recall, Click to Do, and improved Windows Search for enhanced productivity.

The laptop should be able to compete with the best laptops with number pads, making it a versatile choice for both work and play. However, the exact countries receiving the Acer Swift Air 16 in November have not been specified yet.

Acer Predator Orion Desktops

Acer also announced the Predator Orion 7000 and 5000 desktops, both featuring RTX 50-Series GPUs and up to 6TB SSDs. These powerful desktops are expected to hit the market in the first quarter of 2026, with starting prices of $3,999 and $2,999, respectively.

Acer's Other Announcements

Acer also presented the new Acer Predator Helios 18P, a high-end gaming desktop with an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 GPU, and an 18-inch Mini LED display with 4K resolution.

Moreover, Acer announced four new high-refresh rate monitors, including the Nitro XV270X with a 5K display and a 39.7-inch curved gaming monitor.

The Acer Swift Air 16 is a Copilot+ PC, but the details about this feature have not been disclosed yet.

With these new devices, Acer continues to push the boundaries of technology, offering high-performance devices for various needs and budgets.
