In the world of wildlife, we have some fascinating stories unfolding. In Zambia, African wild dog adolescents are causing a stir among their pack due to their over-exuberance, often scuppering their predatory plans. Meanwhile, in Kenya, a cheetah is teaching her cubs the art of hunting. However, the San Joaquin kit fox in California faces a challenge in keeping her babies safe from a coyote. And in Patagonia, a guanaco and her calf are at risk from man-made fencing.

In the realm of primates, a pregnant Hanuman langur in India is babysitting other monkeys' little ones to prepare for motherhood, while a disgraced ex-copper, Jean Dixon, is drawn back into a case involving the body of Kathy Hadderly, who disappeared six years earlier.

Turning our attention to the small screen, this week brings some exciting TV shows. On ITV1, the competition series "Cooking with the Stars" airs at 7 pm, featuring six contestants including Shaun Wright-Phillips, Natalie Cassidy, Hugh Dennis, Kelly Hoppen, Jordan North, and Jack Osbourne. In tonight's episode, the contestants are tasked with preparing a classic British dish within half an hour using only an air fryer. The outcome of the competition, including who impresses the chefs and who may be in the bottom two for a cook-off, is not specified.

For those who enjoy a good drama, two new series are premiering this Sunday. "Ridley," starring Adrian Dunbar as the titular character, airs on ITV1 at 8 pm. Bronagh Waugh plays the role of Farman in this series, and Kevin Doyle guest stars. The main character of "Ridley" is Jean Dixon, played by Elizabeth Berrington. The storyline revolves around Jean, a disgraced ex-copper, as she is drawn back into a case involving the body of Kathy Hadderly.

If you prefer a more literary adaptation, "The Narrow Road to the Deep North" airs on BBC1 at 9.20 pm. Based on Richard Flanagan's novel, the series follows Dorrigo Evans, played by Ciarán Hinds. Dorrigo is a surgeon during World War II who is cleared of malpractice but his personal life is in disarray.
