In the latest issue of Allgemeine Bauzeitung 34/2025, HKL, a family-owned company with over 180 centres across Germany, Austria, and Poland, showcases its extensive range of aerial work platforms and telescopic machines.

HKL's offerings include articulating and telescopic work platforms, space-saving vertical mast platforms, compact tracked platforms, and truck and trailer platforms. These machines cater to various industries such as tree pruning and signage, and are designed to meet a wide range of needs.

The company's telescopic work platforms are particularly versatile, designed to provide both working height and lateral reach. They are suitable for work in parking garages due to their low ground clearance. Larger telescopic machines can even serve as a replacement for crane systems in certain applications.

One of the standout offerings from HKL is the Steiger T 380 XS model. These machines have a lifting capacity of up to 4.95 t, delivered directly to construction sites. Customers can also rent a trailer with a maximum permissible total weight of 3.5 t for transporting smaller work platforms from HKL.

Safety is a top priority for HKL. The company offers a wide range of services including work platforms, lifts, safety equipment, and height access technology. HKL is a certified IPAF training partner, offering training for the safe operation of the machines. The required personal protective equipment is available in the HKL construction shop.

Upon passing the exam, participants receive a PAL Card (Powered Access Licence), recognized as a competence certificate in Germany and other countries. This ensures that operators are properly trained and equipped to handle the machinery safely and effectively.

HKL operates twelve specialist centres for work platforms and telescopic machines across Germany and Brandenburg. In 2024, HKL achieved a turnover of more than 500 million euros in Europe. With over 160,000 construction machines, work platforms, construction equipment, tools, space systems, generators, and vehicles, HKL continues to set the standard in the industry.
