Tennis competition launch: dual event at Grün-Weiss Harburg
Get ready for an exciting tennis event in southern Hamburg! The popular Season's Open tournament, organised by Carsten Hagemann, is set to take place this year.
This is no ordinary tournament. It's the largest tennis tournament for recreational players in the region, attracting teams not just from SV Grün-Weiss Harburg, but also from Eppendorf and Niendorf, Buxtehude, Emsen, Jesteburg, Ramelsloh, Kakenstorf, Moisburg, Klecken, Buchholz, Vahrendorf, Hollenstedt, Büschelskamp, and various other clubs in Lower Saxony.
The clay court season has begun, and over 180 pairs will compete in all age categories on the tennis courts at Rosenkäferweg 2. Each team is guaranteed to play at least three matches, as stated by tournament director Carsten Hagemann.
The tournament, which begins on April 17 and ends on April 28, is focused on preparing for the summer point games, enjoying the sport, and having fun together. The grill season will be opened every evening during the tournament, adding to the festive atmosphere.
There's plenty to look forward to off the court as well. A Players Night is scheduled for April 19, and all participants will receive a surprise bag with small treats. The highlight of the social events, however, is the generous cake buffet planned for April 27.
Hagemann hopes for sunshine to ensure smooth games and a pleasant atmosphere on the terrace. The tournament is also offering prize draws with exciting prizes such as a voucher from the TUI travel agency or a ticket for the "Ladies first" WTA tournament in Hamburg's Stadtpark.
