Tesla Unveils Refreshed Model Y Performance, Deliveries Begin in Europe in September

Tesla has launched the revised Model Y Performance, marking a significant update to the popular electric SUV. The first customers to receive the new Model Y Performance will be those in Europe, with deliveries scheduled to start in September 2025.

The refreshed Model Y Performance is priced from £61,990 in the United Kingdom. The vehicle offers a host of improvements, both inside and out, aimed at enhancing performance, comfort, and efficiency.

Externally, the SUV has a slightly lower ground clearance compared to the Long Range version (6.1 inches versus 6.6 inches). This change, along with updated design elements aimed at improving aerodynamics, contributes to the Model Y Performance's sleeker appearance.

One of the most notable improvements is the new Model Y Performance's acceleration. It now accelerates from 0-60 mph in an impressive 3.3 seconds. Tesla has equipped the Model Y Performance with adaptive damping suspension and new drive modes to ensure a smooth and exhilarating ride.

Inside the Model Y Performance, there are improvements in comfort for both drivers and passengers. Ventilated and heated front sport seats, heated rear seats with perforated surfaces, and power recline functionality for both front and rear seats are just a few of the enhancements. Additionally, sound-damping materials and acoustic glass have been added to reduce cabin noise.

The new Model Y Performance also benefits from Tesla's latest high-density battery cells, which contribute to a range of around 308 miles (495km), only marginally lower than the Long Range variant. The SUV is also equipped with eight exterior cameras, an added forward-facing bumper camera, and ambient lighting in the footwells and door pockets.

The Model Y Performance maintains a top speed of 250km/h (155 mph) and features staggered wheel and tire fitment, high-performance brakes, and improved handling and braking consistency.

While the new Model Y Performance is currently available for viewing at stores in Europe, there is no confirmed timeline for its release in North American or Asian markets.

The Model Y Performance supports Tesla's Autopilot and Full Self-Driving (FSD) Supervised system, offering drivers the latest in advanced driving technology.

Deliveries of the Model Y Performance are expected to begin in September, making this an exciting time for electric vehicle enthusiasts in Europe and the Middle East.
