Tesla's Supercharger station in Calgary, Alberta, has now commenced operations.
In a significant move for electric vehicle (EV) enthusiasts in Canada, Tesla has commissioned and turned on its third Supercharger station in the Greater Calgary area. The new station, located on Aviation Road NE next to the Calgary International Airport, began operations in March 2025.
The Calgary Supercharger, as it is now known, is equipped with 12 stalls and uses the North American Charging Standard (NACS). The station, which cost $0.67 per kilowatt-hour (kWh) for Tesla owners, is accessible to non-Tesla owners for $0.88 per kWh or a $16.99 monthly membership, offering the same rate as Tesla owners for non-Tesla Supercharging.
Interestingly, this is the only Tesla Supercharger station in the Greater Calgary area that is not under construction at this time. While Tesla is planning to build two new Superchargers in Grand Prairie and Fort McMurray in the north, and a third station in Canmore, Alberta, these projects are not yet under construction.
It's worth noting that Tesla opened its second Supercharger station in Canada in 2025, with the station in Ingersoll, Ontario, being the only other Tesla Supercharger to open in the country aside from the one in Calgary. The Ingersoll station, which opened in mid-January 2025, does not have a specific number of stalls mentioned, but it does use the NACS.
However, the charging speeds of the Ingersoll station and the pricing for non-Tesla owners at the Calgary station are not specified in the available information. It's also worth mentioning that there are currently no other Tesla Supercharger stations under construction in the province of Alberta.
This latest development is a testament to Tesla's commitment to expanding its charging infrastructure in Canada, making electric travel more accessible and convenient for drivers across the country. As more Supercharger stations come online, EV adoption is expected to grow, further reducing the carbon footprint of transportation in Canada.
