Early support for people with dementia and their families is emphasised by District Administrator Tanja Schweiger. Such support can improve participation opportunities, prevent isolation, and relieve families. It is also crucial in a society where the number of people with dementia is increasing as it ages.
According to recent statistics, approximately 270,000 people in Bavaria are currently affected by a dementia-related illness. In the over-90 age group, more than one in three people show symptoms of dementia today.
For questions or registration for the respective event, contact Frau García Jociles at telephone 0941/4009-531 or at [email protected].
Dementia presents a significant challenge and burden for those affected and their relatives. The Bavarian Dementia Week aims to provide a platform for support, education, and dialogue about this important issue.
