In response to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases, the Rhein-Kreis Neuss has announced new measures to ensure the safety of its residents. The city will be adopting a test option originally implemented in Düsseldorf, which includes restrictions on access to certain facilities and services.

Starting from a yet-to-be-determined date, individuals wishing to participate in group sports for children, visit libraries, museums, or personal services such as cosmetic manicures and massages, will need to present a current negative rapid test result. This applies to shops with the "click & meet" option, as well as facilities like zoos, animal parks, botanical gardens, and landscape parks.

The Rhein-Kreis Neuss has over 170 test sites for rapid tests, making it easy for residents to get tested. The relevant general decree for this test option can be found here.

Despite these measures, other protective measures and hygiene regulations remain in place. It's important to note that advance booking is often required for these activities.

The Rhein-Kreis Neuss also offers a free newsletter providing in-depth information about social developments, culinary arts, art, and culture in the city. Subscribing to this newsletter will keep individuals updated on these topics in Neuss. The newsletter is sent electronically and does not contain advertisements.

The newsletter is a valuable source of information about social, cultural, and artistic events and trends in Neuss. Subscribers can learn more about the privacy policy at this link: [https://www.rhein-kreis-neuss.de/DE/Service/Recht/Datenschutz/Datenschutzerklaerung.html].

Interestingly, the state government usually imposes a "corona emergency brake" in such cases, but the Rhein-Kreis Neuss is avoiding this measure. A negative rapid test will allow further shopping, visiting museums, and using other facilities and offers in the Rhein-Kreis Neuss.

As of now, the "seven-day incidence" in the Rhein-Kreis is above 100 for three consecutive days. It's crucial for everyone to follow these measures to help control the spread of the virus.
