The Dillweißenstein open-air pool's world record challenge: Will it be a triumphant success?
The picturesque town of Dillweißenstein, in the Pforzheim district, is gearing up for a unique event as part of the celebrations for the 80th anniversary of the Nagold outdoor pool. On Sunday, the 15th of July, from 10 am to 3 pm, the pool will host a world record attempt for the most people earning or renewing "Seahorse" swimming badges.
The event is a collaboration between the Belrem Guild and the German Life Saving Association (Deutsche Lebens-Rettungs-Gesellschaft, DLRG). The German Life Saving Association Pforzheim will be present to examine the swimmers, ensuring the safety and fairness of the record attempt.
To earn a "Seahorse" badge, participants must swim a lap (25m) after jumping off the starting block and dive for an object in shoulder-deep water. The badge, which can be attached to swimsuits or trunks after being earned, will be available for purchase for 3 € upon successful completion of the record attempt.
Jörg Müller, chairman of the Belrem Guild Dillweißenstein, expresses confidence in achieving the world record at the Nagold pool. He encourages everyone, regardless of age, to join in the fun and be a part of this historic event. There is no age limit for the world record attempt.
The event will take place at the Nagold outdoor pool, where the goal is to mark the 80th anniversary of the pool in a memorable way. Spectators are welcome to come and cheer on the participants. So, whether you're a seasoned swimmer or just looking for a fun family day out, the world record attempt for "Seahorse" swimming badges promises to be an exciting event not to be missed!
