The Malteser Grief Café, a safe and supportive space for individuals who have experienced loss, is set to return to Magdeburg, Germany on August 28, 2025. This event is being covered by Malteser Hilfsdienst and photographed by Mandy Hannemann.
The meeting will take place from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the St. Petrikirche Community House, located at Neustädter Straße 4, 39104 Magdeburg. The grief companions, trained volunteers who offer comfort and understanding, will be available as competent contact persons.
At the Grief Café, participants can share their experiences, talk about their losses, and find new strength in the company of others who have gone through similar experiences. The café provides a protected atmosphere for the expression of feelings related to loss, and new perspectives often arise in shared grief experiences.
The Grief Café is free of charge, but registration is required. Interested individuals can register by calling +49 (0) 391 60 78 39 10. The café is open to anyone who has experienced a loss, regardless of the time since the loss occurred.
