In Southern Nevada, the Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) has taken a significant step towards improving public transportation with the order of 46 Xcelsior CNG 40-foot transit buses from New Flyer of America.

The RTC, responsible for both transit and roadways in the region, operates in Nevada, serving Clark County and cities such as Las Vegas, Henderson, and Boulder City. The new buses will join the RTC's current fleet, which consists entirely of NFI Group buses, including ARBOC and Alexander Dennis models, in addition to New Flyer buses.

The partnership between RTC and New Flyer is not a new one, with the company taking pride in its 30-year history of excellence with the commission. The order for the Xcelsior CNG buses was supported by funding from the Federal Transit Administration.

These new buses are designed to meet the highest emissions standards for particulate matter without requiring a filter, and they emit 90% less nitrogen oxide (NOx) than diesel engines. This move towards cleaner transportation is a testament to RTC's commitment to the environment and the health of its citizens.

The order for the Xcelsior CNG buses is a significant investment in the future of public transportation in Southern Nevada. It reaffirms the value that NFI Group's vehicles deliver for the agency and the citizens of the region.

RTC Transit, a subsidiary of the Regional Transportation Commission, is dedicated to providing reliable and efficient services in and around Clark County, Nevada. With the addition of these new buses, RTC Transit is poised to continue serving the community for many years to come.
