The much-anticipated ZDF-Fernsehgarten show is set to return this Sunday, August 31, 2025, with an exciting theme of "Time Travel". Due to Andrea Kiewel's absence due to the Middle East conflict, the show will be hosted by Joachim Llambi and Lutz van der Horst.

The ZDF-Fernsehgarten, a staple of German entertainment since 1986, will welcome a diverse lineup of performers. John Lees' Barclay James Harvest, Dämmerland feat. Versengold, Die Lärmer, Paso Doble, Francine Jordi, Matt & Sem, FrontM3n, Impulso Tenors, Jay Alexander & Kevin Pabst, and Dämmerland are all set to take the stage.

The show, which airs live from the outdoor area of the public broadcaster in Mainz, known as Lerchenberg, is a favourite among both live spectators and TV viewers. With 5000 to 6000 live spectators and hundreds of thousands of TV viewers, the show continues to captivate audiences.

This Sunday's performance will be Andrea Kiewel's 25th season hosting the show, having taken over the role in 2000, with brief interruptions in 2008 and 2009 by Ernst-Marcus Thomas. The show's first host was Ilona Christen, followed by Ramona Leiß in 1993.

Don't miss out on the excitement! Tune in to ZDF or visit the ZDF website to watch the show live. The weather in Mainz for this Sunday's "Fernsehgarten" is expected to be around 20 degrees with no rain, making it the perfect day for an outdoor concert.

The ZDF-Fernsehgarten season in 2025 runs until the end of September, with the show continuing in the spring of the following year. Catch this weekend's "Time Travel" themed episode and join the journey through music and entertainment.
