Time Travel Device, Identified as Landshut, Commences Operation.
The city of Landshut, Bavaria, is set to unveil an exciting new digital project this fall. Funded by the Bavarian State Ministry of Finance and for Home Affairs, the "Zeitmaschine" app promises to bring the historic charm of Landshut right to your fingertips.
One of the key attractions of the app is the virtual tour of the Rathausprunksaal, a significant landmark in Landshut. This tour will be available in both German and English, providing a comprehensive exploration of the impressive frieze that adorns the hall.
But the virtual experience doesn't stop at the Rathausprunksaal. Users can also enjoy a panoramic view of Landshut from the Bernlochner complex, taking in landmarks such as the city gate, city residence, monastery of Seligenthal, town hall, and old and new town streets.
The app will also offer a unique selfie feature, allowing users to create a personal memory card with actors from the various performances of the Landshuter Hochzeit since 1903. These recordings were provided by a foundation to honour the fans of the largest historical festival in Europe.
In addition to the selfie feature, the app will include interactive elements such as GPS search games with hidden 3D objects, quiz questions to test your knowledge, and video avatars for users to interact with.
The "Zeitmaschine" app will also bring to life the paintings in the app, allowing them to speak and share interesting facts about the central figures of the frieze. Users can also choose to listen to the information during the virtual tour.
Perhaps one of the most intriguing features of the app is its ability to allow users to see long-lost buildings in 3D. This will provide a fascinating glimpse into Landshut's past and offer a new perspective on the city's history.
