Title: Successful Conviction in Detmold's Case

Detmold, a city located in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, has been awarded an additional 15,000 euros from the "kinderstark" funding program. This funding comes as a testament to the city's commitment to the well-being of children and families.

Minister Josefine Paul, North Rhine-Westphalia's Minister for Children, Youth, Family, Equality, Flight, and Integration, was impressed by the projects in Detmold and approved the additional funding. The funds will be used to implement participatory graffiti projects for children and young people in various social spaces across the city.

Mayor Frank Hilker emphasized the city's proximity to citizens, recognizing needs, and actively bringing relevant information to the people. This approach is evident in the city's initiatives, such as the Familien-Info-Treff (F.I.T) — a one-stop-agency for family-related concerns, which has been established over the past five years.

Detmold's "Garagenhof" provides open children and youth work oriented towards a diverse target group. The PUB.I.T, another innovative project, offers creative opportunities for young people in Detmold. These initiatives, along with the Kinderschutzhaus (K.I.D.S), are all part of Detmold's efforts to support children and families.

The city's commitment to children's rights is also reflected in the graffiti projects, aiming to make the topic visible in Detmold. These projects are expected to contribute significantly to the visibility of children's rights in the city.

The city administration of Detmold is recognized as a service-oriented, open partner to citizens. With the additional funding, Detmold receives a total of 80,600 euros from the "kinderstark" funding program. This funding will further strengthen Detmold's sustainable approach to municipal prevention chains, a strategy the city portal has been building with the support of state funding.

Minister Paul believes that prevention and a good and healthy upbringing for all children and young people in North Rhine-Westphalia is a central concern of the state government. This year, the state government is providing around 15 million euros to strengthen prevention in municipalities. Detmold's projects are a shining example of how this funding can be effectively utilised.

The participatory graffiti projects are part of the city portal's press release, marking another step forward in Detmold's mission to ensure a safe and nurturing environment for its youngest citizens.
