Top 100 NBA Players of All Time: A Look at the Rankings

In a recent ranking of the 100 greatest NBA players of all time, several legendary figures have been recognised for their outstanding contributions to the sport. The rankings, compiled by E-Rank, take into account a player's real plus-minus percentage (rTS%) and their overall efficiency in their own era.

Among the top ranks, Rick Barry, a scoring legend who led both the ABA and NBA in points, boasts an E-Rank of 549.35, earning him a spot on the 75th Anniversary Team. Barry's impressive career also includes an NBA Finals MVP award and a 10-year span where he averaged over 30 points per game.

Another member of the 75th Anniversary Team is Scottie Pippen, who earned an E-Rank of 589.35. Pippen, known for his versatility and defensive prowess, stepped up as a team leader when Michael Jordan left the Chicago Bulls, leading the team to three consecutive championships. His nickname, "The Second-Best Perimeter Player of Michael Jordan's Era," is a testament to his impact on the court.

The list also includes five point guards in the top 36, but the order is not specified. Notable point guards in this group include Steve Nash (E-Rank: 503.75), Jason Kidd (E-Rank: 512.2), and Russell Westbrook (E-Rank: 486.55). Westbrook, ranked 38th, and Kidd, ranked 36th, are both recognised for their exceptional playmaking abilities, while Nash, ranked 37th, is celebrated for his shooting efficiency.

Meanwhile, Anthony Davis, with an E-Rank of 482.45, is ranked 39th. Despite being a member of the New Orleans Pelicans, future updates may affect Davis's ranking, particularly if he continues to excel in his new team, the Dallas Mavericks.

Other notable mentions include Dwight Howard, who, despite not being a member of the 75th Anniversary Team, has an impressive E-Rank of 517.85, ranking him 35th. Howard, a three-time Defensive Player of the Year, is also an eight-time All-NBA member.

John Havlicek, with an E-Rank of 573.65, is another standout player on the list. Havlicek, who won eight NBA championships, is a member of the 75th Anniversary Team and played in two different eras, demonstrating his consistency and longevity.

Bob Cousy, a six-time NBA champion, also made the 75th Anniversary Team with an E-Rank of 530.35. Cousy, who led the league in assists for eight consecutive years, is one of the most decorated point guards in NBA history.

However, it's important to note that the 75th Anniversary Team missed on including some players who appear on the list. The future may see updates to the rankings as players' careers progress and new data becomes available.

The nickname "The Big Ticket" was given to Kevin Garnett, but he does not appear on this list, indicating that there are many other deserving players who have made significant contributions to the NBA.
