Tour representatives from PartyPoker gathering inside a place of residence
The PartyPoker Tour is currently underway in Glasgow, Scotland, and the highlight of the event is the Mini Main Event. With a £150 buy-in, the tournament has attracted a diverse group of players, including some familiar faces from the poker world.
As of Day 1b, Alexander "Wishiper96" Georgiev is leading the pack with a substantial chip stack of 90,000. Georgiev, known for his online success, is making a strong impression in the live arena as well. Notably, he finished fourth in the £500 Main Event at the 2025 PartyPoker Tour Manchester, pocketing £6,860.
However, the current chip leader in the Mini Main Event is Gajanthan Kamalanathan. Kamalanathan has managed to take the lead into the final table, with the top prize at £10,260 within his reach.
Another notable player in the Mini Main Event is Asif Warris, also known as "the Poker Tourist." Warris has a history of traveling the world to participate in various live poker events. In this tournament, he has a chip stack of 68,000 and recently won a significant pot.
Glenn Brown, the well-renowned poker host, is also in the mix with a chip stack of 65,000. Unfortunately, Brown did not survive Day 1a of the Mini Main Event.
The PartyPoker Team Pro, Jaime Staples, is rumoured to play tonight's turbo flight to the Mini Main Event. Alongside Staples, other PartyPoker Tour Ambassadors, including Joe Beevers, Natalie Bromley, Barry Carter, and Sam Acheampong, are expected to arrive later this week.
