"Tourism Month in Lâm Đồng begins"
Lam Dong Province, Vietnam, is set to showcase its rich cultural heritage and tourist attractions with a month-long experiential tourism festival, running from September 6 to October 5. The province was selected as the organizer of the event in 2021.
The festival aims to promote Lam Dong's tourism potential and strengths to both local and international tourists. The programme includes tourism, cultural, and entertainment activities.
The highlight of the programme is a series of tours with the motto "One trip - Three experiences," allowing tourists to explore the landscapes, flowers, sea, and cultural heritage of the province, as well as neighbouring provinces like Da Kno and Binh Thuan.
To make the experience more enticing, diners, hotels, and tourist areas in the province are offering discounts of up to 50 per cent during the travel month.
A trade fair will also be held at Lam Vien Square from September 12 to 17 to showcase OCOP products, agricultural products, traditional handicrafts, and local cuisine.
The cultural spaces in Lam Dong tourism zones will showcase the music, culture, heritage, and cuisine of ethnic minority groups. The province's museum will host an exhibition to honour the cultural heritage, traditional handicrafts, books, and arts of these groups.
The music gala for the programme took place at Lam Vien Square on September 6, with popular singers like Vo Ha Tram, Issac, and Dong Hung, as well as artists from the Lam Dong Art Theatre and the Boong Sen Theatre of HCM City, performing.
The event is part of Lam Dong's efforts to develop into a safe and friendly tourist destination and to provide a comprehensive understanding of the province's cultural highlights and unique indigenous identity. The festival is expected to contribute to promoting Lam Dong's tourism potential and strengthening its position as a must-visit destination in Vietnam.
