In a tragic turn of events on Saturday, a car collision occurred on the A8 near Leonberg in the Böblingen district. According to the police, two cars were involved in the accident, one of which was an Opel driven by a 20-year-old driver, and the other a Mercedes driven by a 26-year-old driver.
The younger driver is believed to have been unattentive at the time of the collision, which resulted in a rear-end collision. The impact of the collision left both cars no longer roadworthy.
The collision resulted in injuries for all six occupants. Two of the occupants from the Opel sustained serious injuries, while two others from the same car suffered minor injuries. The driver and passenger of the Mercedes also suffered serious injuries.
All the injured parties were taken to the hospital for immediate medical attention.
