Traffic Alert: Numerous Road Closures on Brandenburg Day

From September 10 to 15, the city of Perleberg will be hosting a festival, and with it comes some changes to traffic and parking regulations. Here's a breakdown of what you need to know:

The entire event area, located east-west from Hagen to Quitzower Street, and from Straße Am Hohen Ende in the north to Uferstraße and Wittenberger Straße in the south, will be closed to traffic from September 10 to 15. This includes cars, trucks, and bicycles. However, the Perleberg train station will remain accessible by car and bicycle.

Vehicles parked on private properties during the closure can remain but will not be moveable until September 15. If you're a cyclist, you can park your vehicle at the Perleberg train station, and additional leaning racks will be available in specified streets.

Alternative parking spaces are available for affected residents during the festival. The exact locations of these spaces were not specified, but you can find more information on the Prignitz-Bus and VBB websites. Another option is the former sports field between Hopfenstraße and Iltisweg, which is also available for parking.

Residents with valid permits can use the parking lot in Sophienstraße, while those using Karl-Liebknecht-Straße parking lot are an alternative option for residents, business owners, and their employees.

Access permission is not required during the specified time frames for affected residents and commercial suppliers. Affected parties can enter the closed area during specific times: Wednesday and Thursday from 0:00 to 9:00 and 21:00 to 24:00, Friday from 0:00 to 8:00, Saturday from 2:00 to 9:00, Sunday from 2:00 to 9:00 and 20:00.

Please note that during the closure, resident parking permits and parking discs will not be valid. School and bus traffic will have changes, so it's recommended to check the Prignitz-Bus and VBB websites for schedules.

Lastly, starting from September 9 at 8:00, the Great Market will be inaccessible by car. All properties in the event area will remain accessible on foot.

Stay informed and enjoy the festival!
