Truck Accident Training Held at FW Wathlingen

The Wathlingen Fire Department recently conducted a training session on "Truck Accident" to practice rescuing trapped individuals from trucks. The session was led by Achim Rodenberg, the fleet manager of Rodenberg Enterprises, who provided valuable insights on the structure and unique features of a truck.

During the training, the firefighters had the opportunity to use various equipment, including a Spineboard and a truck rescue platform. Notably, the truck rescue platform was provided via the fire engine of Nienhagen's fire department.

Throughout the session, the firefighters received crucial guidance on how to act more targeted and safely in real-life situations. This was particularly important as they learned to navigate the complexities of a truck in emergency scenarios.

The training concluded with a theoretical unit on hazards at the scene and relevant hazard symbols. This part of the session aimed to equip the firefighters with the knowledge needed to identify and manage potential risks effectively.
