Trump's endeavor to suppress discussions regarding the Epstein documents has instead escalated the issue
In a recent development, a transcript of Ghislaine Maxwell's interview with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche has been revealed, shedding new light on her perspective of Donald Trump's behaviour.
Maxwell, the former girlfriend of the disgraced financier and sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein, stated that she had never seen Donald Trump doing anything "inappropriate". This contradicts previous claims and allegations made against Trump.
It is important to note that these comments were made about Trump's behaviour towards others in massage settings. Maxwell's statements, however, do not contain any evidence of Trump engaging in inappropriate behaviour with Maxwell herself.
Trump has previously claimed that the Epstein files are a hoax or a plot by political rivals. He has also made unsubstantiated claims that Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Joe Biden's administration wrote and created the Epstein files. However, there is skepticism online about Trump's claims.
The US judiciary has not released the Epstein documents to the public due to judges ruling that the government did not provide sufficient reasons to lift the secrecy. The judges noted that existing documents (around 100,000 pages held by the government) were already available and that the released statements were often hearsay or lacked significant new insights. Several judges have blocked requests to unseal these records, despite political pressure and calls for transparency.
Interestingly, the transcripts in question were not part of the previously mentioned Epstein documents or the Department of Justice documents handed over to the House Oversight Committee.
Trump has pledged to release the Epstein files in 2024. In response to a question about the Epstein files, Trump replied that he supports keeping the Epstein documents open and considers the Epstein case a Democrat hoax.
Some online users have suggested that Epstein himself could prove the files are not a hoax by releasing them. One user argued that Trump should release the 100K pages of Epstein documents.
Maxwell, in her interview, also claimed that Trump was a gentleman in all respects during the times she was with him. According to the transcripts, Maxwell stated that she never witnessed Trump in any inappropriate setting.
These new revelations provide a different perspective on Trump's relationship with Maxwell and Epstein. As the Epstein case continues to unfold, the public will likely remain interested in any new information that comes to light.
