Get ready to roll the dice or pull the slot lever in style, as Tulalip Resort Casino is set to unveil a massive transformation! The first phase of their expansion project is expected to unlock its doors in July, inviting visitors to explore over 70,000 square feet of refreshed gaming bliss.
An extensive collection of slot machines, enhanced table-game areas, and a striking new design themescape await you in the revamped casino. The new wing will be adorned with coastal hues, tribal artwork, and wooden accents that pay homage to the spectacular beauty of Puget Sound and the Tulalip Tribes' distinctive cultural heritage.
The expansion won't stop there! The revamped resort promises a cozy full-service lounge named "North Bar," connected to a landscaped outdoor plaza boasting heated seating and a covered smoking lounge. Two inviting entry points will be added: one that links to the DraftKings Sportsbook, and another that faces the Tulalip Amphitheatre and Premium Outlets, aiming to streamline visitor flow and elevate the resort's street-level presentation.
After the grand opening, the focus will shift to revamping the interior of the existing casino, with sweeping updates to lighting, carpets, furnishings, and wall treatments.
Earlier this year, Tulalip Resort Casino underwent design changes for its Hi-Limit Slots room and interior updates for the Blackfish Wild Salmon Grill and Journeys East, laying the groundwork for the sweeping changes to come. Exciting additions include upgraded restrooms, an improved high-limit slot zone, and extended back-of-house facilities to accommodate a greater number of guests. This ambitious project reflects both a substantial investment in the resort’s infrastructure and a steadfast commitment to upholding community traditions.
Marci Fryberg, President and COO of Tulalip Gaming Organization, shared the vision behind the project: "We embarked on this journey with the goal of preserving our people’s traditions while elevating the guest experience. With phase one opening in July and phase two to follow, we're bringing the spirit of the Salish Sea and our cultural heritage to life, offering an experience that will resonate with our members and visitors for years to come."
Work on the expansion began in January and has been progressing at a breakneck pace towards the summer deadline. By the time the project is completed, the casino’s total gaming area will reach an impressive 270,250 square feet, making it one of the largest entertainment spaces in the region.
