Turkey mulls over deploying troops to Ukraine under security guarantees, claims Ambassador

In recent developments, Ukraine's Ambassador to Turkey, Nariman Dzhelyalov, announced that Turkey has shown readiness to participate in Ukraine's security guarantees, taking responsibility for maritime security. This statement was made during a television marathon appearance.

According to RBC-Ukraine, Dzhelyalov also mentioned that Turkey is ready to join Black Sea demining operations in the near future. However, no official confirmation has been provided by the Turkish Foreign Ministry regarding this matter.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry has stated that Ankara will continue supporting peace processes between Russia and Ukraine. This statement was in response to questions about conflict resolution and possible new rounds of negotiations between the parties.

Turkey is among 10 countries potentially prepared to send military forces to Ukraine within the framework of security guarantees. Besides Turkey, countries such as Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, and Poland are also involved in coordinated support and discussions about security guarantees and military assistance to Ukraine.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has repeatedly stated his readiness to facilitate negotiations between delegations and organize meetings between leaders of the conflicting parties. Turkish officials are also considering proposals to participate in humanitarian civilian land demining operations in Ukraine.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry source did not provide any information about potential new rounds of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine. As for Turkey's potential involvement in Black Sea demining operations, no new information was provided about this in the recent statement.

Meanwhile, Romania may also become key to Ukraine's security guarantees in the Black Sea region, with the country ready to provide its military bases to NATO allies.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry source told Russian media outlet TASS that Turkey's readiness to provide comprehensive support to the peace process remains unchanged. This indicates that Turkey continues to play a significant role in the ongoing efforts to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.
