Turkish authorities have reportedly not initiated any efforts to retrieve the alleged funds, according to information shared with the Commission.

In Gebhardshagen, Salzgitter, on September 4, 2025, a 16-year-old was caught speeding on a small motorized vehicle during a mobile speed measurement on Kreisstraße 21. The incident, which occurred at 7:50 AM, was part of the police's ongoing traffic safety work in the 70 km/h zone.

According to the police, the vehicle the teenager was driving should have been limited to a speed of 25 kilometers per hour, although it's unclear if this was the vehicle's actual speed limit. The young driver, who only possessed a moped driving license, was found to be traveling at 62 kilometers per hour, exceeding the vehicle's speed limit.

Following the incident, the officers involved confiscated the driver's license plate and handed the minor over to his guardians. No further information was provided about the outcome of the incident involving the confiscation of the license plate.
