Turkish design obtains admiration in Russia during Moscow Fashion Week
Turkish Designer Emre Erdemoglu Showcases Fall/Winter 2027 Collection at Moscow Fashion Week
Emre Erdemoglu, a rising star in the fashion industry, graced Moscow Fashion Week for the third time, showcasing his Fall/Winter 2027 collection at the Zaryadye Art Space. The collection, titled "West of Eden," was a testament to Erdemoglu's creative vision and craftsmanship.
Erdemoglu expressed his excitement about Moscow Fashion Week, stating that it was the right platform to share more of his creative journey. He noted that the Russian fashion scene values both narrative and aesthetics, making it a unique stage for expression.
The collection combined deep hues such as midnight blue, dark earth, and burgundy with contrasting textures including denim, satin, and silk. Erdemoglu drew inspiration for his Fall/Winter 2027 collection from the figure of the cowgirl in American frontier history, symbolising women's strength, resilience, and their bond with nature.
Erdemoglu's decision to showcase in Moscow was not a random one. He believes that Turkish fashion resonates strongly with Russian audiences due to its craftsmanship, attention to detail, and cultural richness. He sees long-term opportunities in Russia for showroom connections and creative collaborations for Turkish fashion.
The Russian market, according to Erdemoglu, has an audience open to stories, deeply connected to design, and respectful of creativity. He noted that the market does not follow trends but listens to the designer's world, making it an ideal place for innovative and thought-provoking collections like his.
Erdemoglu's participation in Moscow Fashion Week left a deep mark on him. He described the Russian market's openness to creativity as fascinating. Turkish fashion finds a natural place in Russia, according to Erdemoglu, due to the country's aesthetic sensitivity.
Erdemoglu is a recognised talent in the fashion industry, having been featured among emerging designers at prominent events such as the Istanbul Fashion Connection 2025 and the 8th edition of IFCO (Istanbul Fashion Connection) in August 2025, which highlights Turkish fashion designers, showcasing his contributions to contemporary womenswear collections.
With his Fall/Winter 2027 collection, Erdemoglu continues to push the boundaries of fashion, combining cultural references with innovative design to create collections that resonate with audiences worldwide.
