Two automobiles have met in a crash, prompting an investigation from law enforcement authorities.
On Thursday, 28th November 2024, at 5:40 AM, a severe traffic accident occurred on Hellweg street between Vellern and Oelde in Warendorf. The incident involved two drivers, a 60-year-old man from Beckum and a 67-year-old man from the same town.
According to the police investigation, the 60-year-old overtook a bus in front of him on a right curve, and the 67-year-old's car was approaching from the opposite direction. The two cars collided head-on, causing the 60-year-old's car to be thrown into a ditch.
Both drivers were taken to the hospital. The 60-year-old suffered serious injuries, while the 67-year-old sustained minor injuries. Fortunately, the passengers on the bus remained unharmed.
The estimated damage to property, including vehicles, is approximately 20,000 euros. The investigation was conducted by the police department responsible for the Beckum area.
