In an unfortunate turn of events, a collision on the federal road B45 near Rodgau left two drivers with serious injuries on Wednesday afternoon.

According to reports, the 37-year-old driver of a Seat Leon was unable to stop in time and collided with a stationary VW Passat. The impact of the collision was so severe that it caused the VW Passat to be pushed into the right guardrail, and the Seat into the central guardrail.

Both vehicles were severely damaged and were no longer roadworthy, necessitating their removal from the scene. The total damage to the vehicles and the damaged guardrail is estimated at around 40,000 euros.

Rescue services had to free both men from their vehicles, and they were immediately taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. Unfortunately, no further information about their health status was initially available.

The 44-year-old driver of the VW Passat is a resident of Hanau, while the 37-year-old driver of the Seat Leon was not specified as a resident of any particular location.

The police officer present at the accident site to investigate the cause of the accident is not specified in available public information. The B45 was temporarily closed for accident investigation, towing, and road cleaning.

As the investigation continues, we hope for the swift recovery of both drivers involved in the collision. Our thoughts are with them and their families during this difficult time.
