Two kids' home in Greiz receives two bicycles as new possessions
In an act of kindness and community support, Police Commissioner Fiebig of the Central Service of the Greiz Police handed over two bicycles to the "Walter Riedel" children's home in Greiz on August 28, 2025.
The bicycles, previously involved in a theft and a traffic accident, were donated to the children's home by the Greiz Police. After thorough examination by the public prosecutor's office and the State Police Directorate in Erfurt, the bicycles were released for charitable use.
One of the bicycles was previously stolen in Rostock in 2014 and was found in Greiz in 2021. The second bicycle was involved in a traffic accident in 2021 and was not collected by the owner.
Mrs. Gerwin, representing the children's facility, accepted the bicycles and expressed her gratitude for the donation. The children have already started using the bicycles, bringing joy and mobility to their lives at the "Walter Riedel" facility.
