U.S. Military's Top Secret Study on UFOs and Ghosts

In the aftermath of the widely publicized UFO incidents, including the infamous Roswell incident in New Mexico, the United States Air Force (USAF) launched a top-secret initiative called Project SIGN in 1947. This project, distinct from Project Twinkle and Project Grudge, aimed to scientifically study, investigate, and determine the origin of unidentified flying objects (UFOs).

Captain Edward J. Ruppelt and Major Dewey Fournet led Project Grudge, a separate U.S. Air Force investigation initiated to understand and explain the UFO phenomenon. On the other hand, Project Twinkle was a series of perplexing aerial observations reported during the era of nuclear testing, particularly in New Mexico. Among the unidentified aerial phenomena reported during Project Twinkle were the mysterious "green fireballs."

Project Twinkle was not a part of Project Grudge, making the two independent investigations into the UFO phenomenon. The official findings of Project SIGN attributed the majority of sightings to conventional explanations, but a percentage of cases remained unexplained, similar to Project Grudge.

Bill English, a notable figure within UFO and UAP circles, is known for his purported encounter that has contributed to his niche in UFO history. However, he is less well-known than other figures like Bob Lazar or Stanton Friedman to the broader public.

These historical projects, while shrouded in mystery and controversy, offer a fascinating glimpse into the early days of UFO research and the ongoing quest to understand the unknown in our skies.
