The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced a day off for all employees in the public and private sectors to celebrate the Prophet's Birthday. The decision was made by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs.

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources and the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation made the announcement this week. In a circular, the Federal Authority confirmed that ministries and government entities will be closed on September 5. The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation also announced that private sector employees will receive a paid public holiday on the same day.

The holiday is inclusive of both public and private sector employees in the UAE, and it applies to all sectors. The Prophet's Birthday holiday is uniformly applied across the UAE, ensuring a consistent day off for all employees, regardless of sector.
