UFC Fight Nights set for Macau Galaxy as part of recent agreement deal
UFC Announces Long-Term Partnership with Galaxy Macau
In an exciting development for the mixed martial arts (MMA) community, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has entered into a four-year partnership with Galaxy Macau. This strategic alliance reflects the ongoing support of both parties for the Macau government's vision to integrate tourism and sports.
UFC's President and CEO, Dana White, returned from a trip to China with positive sentiments, praising the culture, people, and athletes. He expressed his excitement for the growth of UFC in China and the sport as a whole, stating that the deal came at a great time without providing further details.
Under this partnership, the Galaxy Arena in Macau will host three UFC Fight Night events over the next four years. The venue will also be the stage for a new season of Road to UFC, a popular series that provides a pathway for fighters in the region to earn a UFC contract.
Kevin Chang, UFC's Head of Asia, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership with Galaxy Macau, stating that it solidifies their commitment to the region and its fans. COO Macau of Galaxy Entertainment Group, Kevin Kelley, shared similar sentiments, expressing excitement about partnering with UFC, as it allows them to bring world-class MMA events to Galaxy Arena.
This partnership is part of UFC's efforts to foster growth in Asia. The company has experienced significant growth in the region, with recent high-profile events selling out and new fighters from the region receiving contracts. Since 2012, UFC has staged four events in Macau, with the most recent one, UFC Fight Night: Yan vs Figueireido, selling out in 2023.
The goal of this partnership is to find new MMA fighters from across the Asia-Pacific region. The first event of the next season of Road to UFC will provide a platform for these aspiring athletes to showcase their skills and potentially earn a UFC contract, following in the footsteps of the 18 athletes from the Asia-Pacific region who have done so in previous seasons.
MMA fans in Macau will now have the opportunity to witness top-tier action at home, while visitors can enjoy the city's rich culture, cuisine, and entertainment alongside unforgettable fight experiences. This partnership is expected to boost the growth of UFC in Asia, following the success of previous events in Macau and mainland China.

It is a long-term partnership that spans over the next four years, during which three UFC Fight Night events will be hosted at the Galaxy Arena in Macau.
