UFC KO Poker Series' final was contested by "joker10_kz" and "3DTemujiN"
In a thrilling display of poker skill, two Kazakhstani players, "jaken" ("joker10_kz") and "3DTemujiN", made a significant impact in the UFC KO Poker Series' Sunday Cooldown tournament.
Held on PokerStars, the tournament attracted 75 players and 27 re-entries, surpassing its $150K guarantee to create a total prize pool of $204K. The high-stakes event, a $2,100 buy-in, was the inaugural online tournament of the UFC KO Poker Series.
The turbo format of the tournament proved challenging for some players, including "3DTemujiN", who found himself in 7th place during the final table. On the other hand, "jaken" managed to maintain his lead as the chip leader.
In the initial stages of the final table, "jaken" didn't receive any cards, and his stack significantly decreased. However, he managed to recover and maintain his position. Meanwhile, "3DTemujiN", who started the final table with a smaller stack, "survived" three all-ins, showing resilience and determination.
The final standings saw "jaken" finishing in a commendable 5th place, earning $19K, including bounties. "3DTemujiN" managed to secure 7th place, pocketing $7.7K, including knockouts.
This performance continues the noteworthy online poker run for Kazakh players. "jaken" has previously won a hyper-turbo tournament with a $11 buy-in and also performed well in the Turbo Series, earning over $30K. "3DTemujiN" also recently won $11K in the Daily Supersonic tournament with a $530 buy-in three days ago.
