Huge Winnings for Artem Kobilinsky at the 2025 Triton Poker Tournament

Swindling his way to the top, Ukrainian poker player Artem Kobilinsky claimed his first Triton title and a hefty paycheck of $492,000 at the recent high-stakes event.

With a buy-in of $30,000 and 56 entries, the tournament boasted a prize pool of a whopping $1,680,000. The top nine players took home some cash, with most of it going to Kobilinsky.

With this victory, Kobilinsky's live tournament earnings now surpass the impressive sum of $1,3 million. This was his second-best live tournament score, following his runner-up finish in the EPT Prague 2018 Main Event, where he pocketed a cool $651,977.

As the final table commenced, Michael Watson was sitting pretty with the most chips, Kobilinsky was close behind, and Jason Koon was struggling. However, Kobilinsky quickly turned the tides.

Notable casualties included Triton co-founder Paul Phua (7th place, $82,000) and two-time Triton champion Steve Chidwick (6th place, $104,000), who remains the 3rd richest poker player in history with a total live tournament earnings of over $65 million.

Jason Koon, who holds the record for most Triton titles (10), bowed out in 5th place ($134,000). Lun Lun followed suit in 4th place ($173,000) after his gutshot failed to pan out.

Kobilinsky's dominance continued throughout the tournament, with his A-J holding firm against Daniel Dvoress's A-10s in the semifinals. Dvoress was eliminated in 3rd place ($229,000).

In an intense heads-up match against Michael Watson, Kobilinsky overcame a slight chip deficit and snagged the title. The final hand saw Watson's A♥ 8♠ crumble under the weight of Kobilinsky's A♦ K♣, giving Kobilinsky the victory with a board of J♠ 9♥ 7♦ Q♠ Q♥.
