Uncontrolled flame engulfs foliage in Bottrop residential buildings

In the early hours of this morning, at around 1:26 AM, the Bottrop Fire Department received an alarm about a fire on Im Schlangenholt Street. Upon arrival, two teams in breathing apparatus were immediately deployed to fight the fire.

The fire was located in a garden hut, approximately 30 square meters in size, and had spread to terrace furniture. A total of 4000 liters of water were used to combat the fire.

Fortunately, no people were in danger at the time of the fire. However, the cause of the fire remains unknown at this time.

A pressure gas cylinder was rescued from the hut before further damage could occur. Approximately 20 personnel from Fire and Rescue Station 1 and the volunteer fire department Eigen were present during the operation.

The Bottrop Fire Department concluded their operation at around 3:15 AM. The police have taken up the investigations into the cause and circumstances of the fire, but no details about the owner or user have been released as of yet.
