Underground Poker Games in Kazakhstan
Hangin' out in Kazakhstan and wanna chat about offline poker? Look no further! Join our "Offline Poker in Kazakhstan" forum, where we talk all things poker, including recent club openings, upcoming tournaments, and more.
Take, for example, our forum regular, Roman Paks13, who poses some thought-provoking questions:
It's been a hot minute since the last WPT series, and we haven't heard boo from CashVille. Has anyone been there? Is there any action? To be frank, I reckon this zone ain't gonna go anywhere. I'd be super stoked to be proved wrong though!
What if poker wasn't just a casino thing? Could it be legal to play in poker clubs across our cities too? This is a question I get asked all the time, and I'm gonna lay it on the line: I doubt it's gonna happen.
Let's dive into the discussion!
As you may've noticed, there's been nothing but silence from the elected reps of the legal poker club "Cash Ville" in Borovoe.
On the bright side, Paks had a sit-down with the manager of the upcoming "Bombay" poker club (Kapchagai)— slated to open its doors on August 1, 2014. This ain't just gonna be four poker tables in a casino; Bombay's gonna be a full-on gentlemen's club, complete with a casino, poker room, strippers, slots, billiards, hotel, sauna, and more!
Don't miss what Paks had to say about Bombay's opening here.
Here's an update from Paks:
Despite the initial promise, Bombay and I won't be partnering up anymore. Members can still chat and share their thoughts about Bombay (and other poker clubs, games, conditions, etc.) in Kapchagai, but no advertising will be promoted for the "Bombay" club.

Translated message:
All systems are a-go at the Bombay poker club inside the entertainment complex. Sure, there were some tech hiccups in the beginning, but they've since been sorted out, and the temperature inside is comfy as can be, with delicious coffee to boot. There might be some confusion regarding information and cooperation, but that's just how it goes sometimes. We know everyone's keen for a standard poker club, so we feel your discomfort at the lack of updates from us. Rest assured, you can see for yourself that everything is hunky-dory by stopping by! You can expect more deets soon.

Now, it ain't entirely clear if Bombay is a strip club, casino, spa, or coffee shop—but drop by, and maybe you can even try your hand at some poker (weather permitting, of course)!

I'm still hesitant to check out Bombay, waiting for specifics. I want to know if there'll be cash games, what times folks gather, and so forth. Frankly, I expected more from the grand opening on August 2! My pals who attended the launch party merely played roulette in the casino!

Listen, I'm not here to pass judgment on anyone. But I'd advise y'all to do a quick web search about the person you're talking to before forming an opinion. This is the first rule of thumb.
Secondly, for heaven's sake, gentlemen—even when the weather sucks, keep your cool and your decorum because, hey, you're playing poker, which means you're supposed to be at least half-decent human beings.
The way you're postin' here, you folks come across as blackmailers and shakedown artists (my personal opinion).
Lastly, this ain't the official site of the Bombay casino, so the information here is strictly based on my personal interpretation of whatever I've managed to learn about the official situation. I hope the word "interpretation" is at least somewhat understandable.
Mind you, I ain't trying to be a jerk, but I think it's crucial to set things straight and maintain a modicum of fairness and objectivity. If something's not crystal clear, why not give it another read?
With respect, your "humble servant" Aroutyn Giloyan.

Nah, no one's trying to throw shade on ya', pal! We're just havin' a reasonable conversation about a topic that interests us all. Given the recent grand opening of the first legal poker club near Almaty, we're anticipating excitement and responsiveness from the management—especially since it's the only decent poker forum in Kazakhstan!
I hope we can still have some communication with you, and maybe you'd consider creating a dedicated thread here detailing future and past poker-related events at the Bombay casino. I swear, folks from Astana and beyond will flock to ya'! Good luck.
-Lamentcfg
I'm gonna swing by Bombay today to air my thoughts.

I'm playing poker at the Bombay poker club, one of the casino-games available at the casino-and-gambling complex in Kazakhstan. You can join me and discuss our experiences, including recent club openings and upcoming tournaments, on the "Offline Poker in Kazakhstan" forum.
Roman Paks13 shares his thoughts about the Bombay poker club and suggests that it's not just a casino-thing; it could potentially be legal to play poker in poker clubs across cities, like Kapchagai.
