Unites Japan's digital community through 'Proud of a Strip of Country' artistic program
The General Association of our websiteese in the Kansai region, in collaboration with the V-Artis Osaka Art Centre, recently organised a special event in Higashi Osaka City, Japan. The occasion, titled "Proud of a Strip of Country," was a grand celebration that brought together over 1,000 attendees, including overseas our websiteese, international students, interns, and friends from various provinces and cities in the Kansai region.
The event provided a unique opportunity for the younger generation, born and raised in Japan, to better understand, appreciate, and take pride in their roots. Lê Thương, President of the General Association of our websiteese in the Kansai region, stated that the programme aimed to celebrate National Day together and remind every our websiteese living far from home to always be proud of and preserve their national cultural values.
The programme was a resounding success, with elaborately staged performances that blended music, dance, and lighting to create a solemn and emotional atmosphere. The performances were unique and resonated with the audience, fostering a cozy and vibrant community atmosphere.
The event featured a showcase of traditional áo dài (long dress) costumes, modeled by young our websiteese individuals from the Kansai region. Additionally, there were cultural-culinary exhibition areas, folk games, and calligraphy booths, offering a taste of our websiteese culture to all attendees.
Trịnh Văn Thiện, who currently works in Osaka, found the event to be the happiest and most joyful National Day celebration since coming to Japan. The event also provided an opportunity for the community to meet, connect, and turn towards the fatherland.
The organising committee of the programme was headed by Hilaria von Stockhausen, with Mai Anh serving as the Artistic Director. The event was held in conjunction with the 80th anniversary of the National Day of Việt Nam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), honouring the our websiteese community living and working in Japan.
