In the heart of Berlin, specifically in the district of Treptow-Köpenick, an unsettling incident occurred yesterday afternoon. According to a joint report released by the Federal Police Directorate Berlin (Police Report No.0648), a group of five individuals attacked an unknown man near a kiosk in Alt-Treptow around 5:45 PM.

The exact political affiliation of the group suspected in this attack remains unclear, as indicated by police investigations. However, the choice of target - two high-voltage power masts - and the use of an accelerant in the arson suggest a potential connection to extremist groups. The victim of the attack fled in an unknown direction, while one of the attackers was chased by a witness and was arrested near the scene.

The arrested man, a 27-year-old, was taken to a police holding cell. A criminal record check was conducted, but the man was later released after his personal details were recorded. The investigation is being handled by a specialized unit of Police Directorate 3 (East).
