Grey Audi R8 Under Investigation for Dangerous Street Racing Incident
The Frankfurt am Main police are seeking the public's help in finding a grey Audi R8, which was involved in a dangerous street racing incident on the A661 and A3 highways on November 17, 2024.
The incident began on Sunday evening, when the driver of the grey Audi R8 ignored police signals and recklessly overtook other vehicles on the A661 and A3 motorways. The driver also used the hard shoulder on the A3, putting other road users at risk.
The police attempted to pursue the grey Audi R8, but ended the chase due to the high speed and potential danger to other road users. The pursuit was eventually taken over by civilian detectives.
Near the Offenbach police motorway station, the driver of the grey Audi R8 lost control of their vehicle and collided with a safety barrier. Despite the crash, the driver continued to drive at high speed and evaded the pursuing police patrol.
The driver was observed by a KART civilian patrol at approximately 22:45. The driver of the grey Audi R8 was not identified in the aftermath of the crash.
