Manchester City will face Brighton & Hove Albion in their upcoming Premier League fixture, with Erling Haaland set to make his 100th league appearance for the club. The Norwegian striker has already broken records, scoring more goals (87) than any other player in their first 100 games in the Premier League.

Brighton, on the other hand, are currently winless in their opening two league games this season, having drawn one and lost one. In fact, they have only failed to win their opening three games in one of the last 15 league seasons - the 2017-18 campaign, which was their first in the Premier League.

The Seagulls' league woes continue, with their last victory coming against Fulham in a 1-1 draw, followed by a 2-0 defeat at Everton. However, they did manage to impress in the EFL Cup, thrashing Oxford United 6-0, with 19-year-old Stefanos Tzimas scoring twice and providing one assist.

Pep Guardiola, Manchester City's manager, has shown support for his team, particularly for goalkeeper James Trafford, who struggled in the team's 2-0 defeat against Tottenham. There have been reports of Ederson seeking a transfer to Galatasaray and Gianluigi Donnarumma being linked with a move to Manchester City this summer, potentially adding to the goalkeeping competition.

Guardiola has a less than ideal record against Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler, being winless in both of their Premier League meetings. The only manager he's faced three times without beating is Ronald Koeman.

In terms of individual statistics, Mats Wieffer, Brighton's right-back, has been impressive, averaging 5.3 tackles per 90 minutes for the team, the most of any player to play 500+ minutes in the competition for them. He is a player to watch for Brighton in their upcoming match against Manchester City.

James Milner, a former Man City midfielder, is helping young players at Brighton, praising the team's environment and coaching staff for their role in the players' development.

Manchester City have a strong record against Brighton, winning 19 of 30 league matches (63.3%), the only side they have a higher win ratio against being Swansea City (23 wins in 34 games, 67.6%).

According to Opta, the probability of Brighton winning this match is 27.5%, the probability of a draw is 24.6%, and Manchester City's probability of winning is 47.9%. Since losing 5-1 at Arsenal in February, City have conceded just one goal in seven away Premier League matches, keeping five clean sheets in a row.

With Haaland's milestone match and the competitive history between the two teams, this promises to be an exciting encounter.
