In two separate incidents that occurred on Thursday evening, August 27, elderly women in Herne, Germany, were targeted by individuals posing as water workers.
The first incident took place around 6 p.m. in the area of Königstraße / Brauwasserweg. A suspect, described as a male, approximately 20-25 years old, 175 cm tall, with short black hair, wearing black clothing and a yellow vest, stole jewelry from an 89-year-old woman. The name of the suspect is currently not disclosed as the police are investigating and asking witnesses for information.
Half an hour later, the second incident occurred in the Rosenring area, less than 500 meters away from the first. In this incident, a suspect, described as male, between 30 and 40 years old, 170-175 cm tall, stole jewelry from a 90-year-old woman.
