The tech world is abuzz with anticipation for Xiaomi's latest offering, the Xiaomi 16 Pro Max. Scheduled for release in late September 2025, this new gadget is set to shake up the market as part of Xiaomi's 17 series launch, following reports that the Xiaomi 16 series has been canceled in favour of the 17 series to compete with the iPhone 17.

The new generation lineup of Xiaomi includes three models: the Xiaomi 16, 16 Pro, and 16 Pro Max. The Xiaomi 16 Pro Max, however, is the standout star, boasting a unique dual-screen design that revives the concept of a second display on the rear panel, similar to the Mi 11 Ultra.

The main screen of the Xiaomi 16 Pro Max sports a 6.8-inch diagonal with a flat surface. But it's the second screen that truly sets this device apart. This secondary display uses an LTPO matrix that supports high refresh rates and an Always-On mode, making it larger and brighter compared to its predecessors.

The second screen is not confined to a small window like its predecessors. Instead, it occupies the entire camera module area, integrated seamlessly into the camera block. This design alignment with recent leaks of the iPhone 17 Pro and Galaxy S26 Edge adds to the device's intrigue.

Under the hood, the Xiaomi 16 Pro Max is powered by a 7500 mAh battery, providing ample power for its advanced features. It also supports 100-watt wired and 50-watt wireless charging, ensuring quick recharging when needed.

The Xiaomi 16 Pro Max features a triple 50MP camera with Leica tuning, promising high-quality photography. The device will run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, ensuring smooth performance.

One of the most notable design features of the Xiaomi 16 Pro Max is its record-thin bezels. At 1.15 mm, they are among the thinnest in the industry, with reports suggesting they could decrease to 1 mm before release.

Specifications for the Xiaomi 16 Pro Max have been reported by Smartprix, adding credibility to the device's impending release. With its unique dual-screen design, powerful battery, and advanced camera system, the Xiaomi 16 Pro Max is shaping up to be a formidable competitor in the smartphone market.
