Updated 2026 KGM Musso Model: Expanded Range Introduces Additional Grade, Features, and Cosmetic Enhancements
The South Korean automaker, SsangYong, has announced updates to its Musso and Musso XLV models, aiming to balance practicality and capability with improved comfort, refinement, and value. The updated line-up now includes the ELX, Advance, and Ultimate models.
Base Model Features
The base ELX model comes equipped with a 2.2L 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine, a 6-speed automatic transmission, and part-time 4×4. It boasts a 3.5 Tonne braked towing capacity, 17-inch alloy wheels, multi-link, coil spring rear suspension, electric power steering, a reach adjustable steering wheel, and a host of safety features such as Lane Keeping Assist, HID headlights, AEB with Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Trailer Sway Assist, Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control, a 12.3-inch digital LCD instrument cluster, and a 12.3-inch touch screen audio system with Apple CarPlayTM and Android AutoTM.
Standard Roof Rails Across the Range
All models now come with roof rails as standard, adding to their versatility and practicality.
Advance and Ultimate Models
The Advance model, replacing the outgoing Adventure trim, features a black front grille, black roof rails, dual-zone automatic climate control, privacy glass for rear doors, heated and ventilated front seats, a heated leather steering wheel, and a 360-degree camera system. It also offers Blind Spot Warning (BSW), Rear Cross Traffic Warning (RCTW), Lane Change-collision Warning (LCW), and Safety Exit Warning (SEW). The Advance model comes with 18-inch black alloy wheels and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
The top-tier Ultimate model includes all the features of the Advance model, plus LED headlights with sequential indicators, a powered sunroof, 8-way powered front seats, powered driver lumbar support, heated rear outer seats, a walk-up welcome system, touch-sensing front door locks with walk-away auto-door locking, and a special design black front bumper and grille. It also features a 3D 360° camera.
Pricing and Warranty
The KGM Musso ELX, Advance, and Ultimate models are priced at $42,500, $46,500, and $51,500 (for standard Musso) respectively. For the Musso XLV models, the prices are $44,000, $48,000, and $53,000.
The Musso and Musso XLV models are covered by a 7-year/unlimited kilometre new car warranty, including commercial use, and 5-year roadside assistance.
The updates are expected to sharpen the Musso's appeal in Australia's competitive ute market. With its enhanced features and new styling, the updated Musso and Musso XLV models are poised to offer buyers a practical and comfortable dual-purpose ute capable of heavy-duty work while offering passenger car-like convenience and features.
