Urban festivities: Street parades unfolding in the metropolis.
Bergisch Gladbach is gearing up for an exciting series of carnival parades, and with them come some important changes and reminders for the residents and visitors.
Starting from 8:00 AM on Carnival Sunday, a glass ban will be in effect throughout the city centre, including Konrad-Adenauer-Platz, Maria-Zanders-Anlage, and Forum Park, until 9:00 PM. Violators of this ban risk a fine.

For the convenience of people with disabilities, an enclosed area is available on Konrad-Adenauer-Platz for Carnival Sunday, allowing them to enjoy the Gladbach parade safely. A disabled-friendly area is also being organised by the Verein zur Erhaltung und Pflege heimatlichen Brauchtums and the city's disability commissioner, Monika Hiller. A team will assist all people with disabilities, whether in costume or not, in this area. No registration is required to access the disabled-friendly area.
