Urbanek is an expert at BWO (Bytom Wielkopolski Organization)
In a recent development, Felix Urbanek has joined the Federal Association for Wind Energy Offshore (BWO) as a specialist advisor, focusing on the Safety & Rescue and Legal Committees. Urbanek's new role comes after Laura Hohle, his predecessor at BWO, moved to a new position at the German Wind Energy Association (BWE).
Urbanek's career path led him to BWO from Burson Cohn & Wolfe (BCW) Germany, where he previously worked as an Account Executive in the Public Affairs team. His new role at BWO involves supporting the Safety & Rescue and Legal committees, a task he will carry out under the guidance of Stefan Thimm, who is Urbanek's direct superior at the organisation.
It is important to note that the German Wind Energy Association (BWE) and the Federal Association for Wind Energy Offshore (BWO) are separate entities. Laura Hohle, who previously held Urbanek's position at BWO, has been appointed as the Head of Public Affairs at the German Wind Energy Association (BWE). Her new role is within the Public Affairs department.
Urbanek's move within BWO does not represent a promotion or demotion, as the roles and responsibilities within the organisation have not been disclosed. The leadership structure remains unchanged, with Urbanek continuing to report directly to Stefan Thimm.
The change in personnel at both BWO and BWE signifies a shift in the wind energy sector, as both organisations continue to play vital roles in shaping and advancing the industry. Urbanek and Hohle's new roles mark the beginning of exciting new chapters in their careers, and the industry looks forward to seeing the impact they will make in their respective positions.
