Urgent call made to King Charles III concerning the escalating controversy surrounding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

The One Love film premiere in Jamaica, which saw the attendance of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, has been the subject of some misconceptions.

Initially, it was reported that the invitation to the royal couple came from Jamaica's Ministry of Tourism. However, Theresa Roberts, Jamaica's Ambassador and Special Investment Envoy for Culture and Arts in the UK, has clarified that the government was not involved in inviting the Sussexes to the event.

Roberts explained in an interview with the Mail via GB News that the real invitation for the Sussexes to attend the One Love film premiere came from Brian Robbins, Paramount's CEO, and his wife Tracy James.

The government's annoyance was due to the misconception that Prime Minister Andrew Holness was closely associated with Meghan and Harry at the premiere. King Charles, as Jamaica's head of state, received an urgent phone call from Prime Minister Holness to explain his lack of involvement in the invitation to the One Love film premiere.

Prime Minister Holness did not have a role in inviting the Sussexes to the One Love film premiere, and he was not responsible for the misconception that he was closely associated with Meghan and Harry at the event. The moment caused confusion behind the scenes, but Roberts mentioned that Prime Minister Holness did not expect to be caught up in the controversy surrounding the One Love film premiere.

Roberts also stated that Prime Minister Holness contacted King Charles to clarify the situation, and the government's annoyance was primarily due to the misconceptions that arose from the event. Despite the initial confusion, the One Love film premiere was a successful event that brought attention to Jamaica's vibrant culture and arts scene.
