The city of Bottrop has announced a series of works that will take place on Kirchhellener Street starting from September 1. The works, which are expected to last until approximately September 30, will involve the renewal of asphalt surfaces and necessary marking works in the entry areas of several streets, including Moltkestraße, Parkstraße, and Goebenstraße.

In parallel, the missing signage will be installed to guide commuters during the construction period. The company conducting the work on the district heating pipeline on Kirchhellener Straße starting from September 1 is Trianel GmbH.

Due to these works, Kirchhellener Street will need to be closed in the construction area. The closure will affect the area between Tourneaustraße and Moltkestraße. Appropriate detours will be set up during the closure, and these will be signposted to ensure easy navigation for commuters.

The closure of Kirchhellener Street is scheduled from September 8 to 12. Once completed, the bike street can then be officially opened. The renewal of asphalt surfaces will take place at the entry areas mentioned above, and full-surface red markings will be added to several entry areas during the construction.

The redesign of Kirchhellener Street into a bike street is not fully completed and requires additional construction work. It's worth noting that the new asphalt needs to cure for about two weeks before the marking works can begin. The completion of the works is expected to be around mid-October.

Starting from September 1, Iqony will perform works on the district heating network in Kirchhellener Street. The city of Bottrop's department of public works will take over the renewal of the asphalt surface and carry out necessary marking works in this area after the district heating works are completed.

The renewal of asphalt surfaces will require closures of Kirchhellener Street. Once completed, the bike street can then be officially opened, and the area will return to normal operations. The city of Bottrop appreciates the understanding and patience of the commuters during this period of construction.
