In a recent announcement made through its Telegram channel, the Ministry of Digital Development in Russia has revealed that the country's major telecom operators are extending access to a variety of essential services during mobile internet restrictions.

These services include popular sites such as social networks, marketplaces, navigators, and taxi ordering services. Additionally, delivery services and supermarket apps are also included in the list, ensuring that Russians can continue to access necessary goods and services even during connection restrictions.

Users will also be able to utilise personal accounts of telecom operators, "Gosuslugi", a platform for remote voting, sites of the President and the Government. The list of accessible services is set to gradually expand, providing more options for Russians to stay connected and manage their daily lives.

The provision of these services is due to security reasons, as well as to maintain the continuity of essential services during times of restricted internet access. Telecom operators in Russia, such as Rostelecom, MTS, Megafon, and Beeline, are typically state-affiliated companies that are facilitating this access.

However, it's important to note that a new scheme of internet fraud has been reported, where scammers pose as hackers and claim to have received a "commission" to hack a specific person and leak personal information. Users are advised to stay vigilant and not respond to messages from unknown senders.

In case of blackmail, it is necessary to report to law enforcement agencies. It's crucial to remember that these services are designed to help and protect the public, and any suspicious activity should be reported immediately.

With these expanded services, Russians will be able to navigate, shop, order taxis, access government platforms, and even participate in remote voting, all while ensuring their connection to the internet remains secure and reliable.
